Welcome to OUR LADY OF FATIMA SCHOOL
Academic Excellence with Catholic Vision
We want you to send your child to OUR LADY OF FATIMA SCHOOL. We understand that as a parent you want your child in a safe, caring environment that fosters moral, spiritual, and academic excellence. We believe that Fatima is here to assist parents with this mission by weaving the tenants of Catholic faith, community involvement, and family values into our rigorous academic curriculum.
CARE
- We believe in our children's future, particularly in those formative years from early childhood learning (age 3) through 8th grade.
- We believe parental involvement is a critical component to our children's success.
- Fatima has created an environment that engages our children with teachers who genuinely care.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
- Fatima demands and gets academic excellence. Students at our school consistently out-perform public schools and many parochial and private schools.
- Fatima proudly emphasizes basic reading, writing, and math skills that allow our children to excel in our academic disciplines.
- Our 8th grade students' standardized test scores average three grade levels above on the national Iowa Test of Basic Skills.
VALUES
- We believe children today need a moral compass. Fatima goes beyond academics.
They teach, emphasize and expect honesty, integrity, modesty, hard-work, politeness, teamwork, and most importantly right from wrong. Within our Catholic vision, these values are incorporated into our entire curriculum.
SAFETY
- We understand that our children will be exposed to many choices in their lives and Fatima stresses a caring environment that reinforces the ability to make age appropriate choices and foster positive communication and education.
- Fatima does not tolerate bullying including emotional or physical violence or profanity.
INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION
- We have a staff of caring teachers and administrators that we believe is second to none.
- Our low student to teacher ratio provides our children with more individual attention than other schools.
- Our students are taught how to participate in the classroom, are exposed to public speaking and how to interface politely with other students and adults.
- The entire school community concentrates on the job of producing a well rounded honest, educated, productive young people.
Thank you for your interest in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School.
Sincerely,
The Parents of the Fatima School Advisory Council
